Food film screening to benefit Cultivate KC: June 24

Food film screening to benefit Cultivate KC: June 24

You can still join in on the free screening of a food film to benefit Cultivate KC and get rewarded with a free meal from Chipotle. The film "Truck Farm" profiles King Corn producer Ian Cheney in his venture to grow an entire garden in the back of a pickup truck. It will screen Friday, June 24, at BadSeed Market in the Crossroads Arts District at 5 and 6 p.m.

Cultivate KC (formerly the Kansas City Center for Urban Agriculture) and Chipotle Mexican Grill have come together to screen Truck Farm and also held an earlier screening of "Ingredients: A Documentary Film," which explores the local food movement.

Friday's screening is free with a $5 suggested donation to benefit Cultivate KC’s mission to educate Kansas City residents about local farming. For your donation, you will receive a Burrito Buck good for one free burrito, bowl, salad or order of tacos from Chipotle.
