Kansas City International Visitors Council (KCIVC) is excited to be presenting The Citizen Diplomacy Summit, Monday May 9, 2011, at the Kauffman Foundation, 4801 Rockhill Rd, Kansas City, MO 64110.

Two sessions are available, a luncheon will be held from 11:30 – 1:30 p.m. featuring Dr. Chris Kuehl speaking on “Global Opportunities and Challenges, Risks and Rewards” and Dr. Manfred Stinnes on the topic of “The Global Mindset – What it is, Why you need it, and How you get it.”

An evening session is scheduled from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m., with Dr. Stinnes speaking on “The Importance of Citizen Diplomacy in a Shrinking World. ” A reception follows.

A new scam called tabnabbing targets people who bank online, even if it's just check your balance. Hackers target people who keep several pages open at once on their computer, and if you surf a hacked page, you take the hackers along with you when you switch to your other pages, like your banking site.

FOX 4 is working for you with three important tips from local security researcher, Cory Kennedy:
    
1.) Be aware of the tabs you have open. If you're going to go from Facebook to your banking website, either manually type in the new website or open a new session.    
    
2.) Check the website in the address bar.  Is it showing your bank's website address?  Or something else?  If you're not sure it's right, call your bank.
