Independence College of Cosmetology was founded in 1960 and has continually been an active part of the local business community. Independence College of Cosmetology is located in a state-of-the-art facility with ample parking (including handicapped) which is free for students and clients. It is located in historical Independence, Missouri, which is easily reached by way of local freeways and main thoroughfares. The College has met and exceeded the needs and desires of the beauty salons in the community by educating students to be proficient in areas that surpass simple licensure.
Our Cosmetology course is 1,500 hours as required by Missouri state law. We have full-time and part-time attendance choices Tuesday through Saturday. We use the exceptional Pivot Point Designer's Approach educational system. Students have access to the six coursebooks and other learning materials online 24-7.
Financial Aid is available for those who qualify.
Additional Information
Our Esthetics course is 1,500 hours, full-time, Tuesday through Saturday. The curriculum follows the CIDESCO standards which are recognized world wide and include facials, waxing, massage, makeup, reflexology, body treatments, nail care and state law.
Independence College of Cosmetology is the second CIDESCO school in the United States. We have met all the requirements of the International organization in order to have that privilege.
